Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since 11 November 1996. Her debut in a feature film was in a minor part in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and in the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modeling after being approached by a professional photographer. It led to an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy she extended to her acting career. When she came to the director's notice for a James Bond film, Doody was offered a small role on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody was listed as one of the 12 most promising new Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Volume. 38. At just 18 when she appeared in the character Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke also had a role for Doody in the character of IRA Siobhan. Doody was seen as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 television version from The Secret Garden. She was Lilias. In the Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody played Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody starred alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. In Hollywood Doody moved to. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard as L'Oreal spokesperson and then went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent as Flannery's girlfriend and agent in Major League II. Doody was part of the 2004 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. Doody was a co-star, along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody recorded a part in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture. She later guest starred in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project was later put on hold. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season that ran for two years. The following year, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November 2018, she won the Almeria award for best film as well as a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
